With pc's once you get your first pc it seems after awhile like you need to upgrade, repurpose or add a whole new pc experience for a different use.
Inter-twining audio, video, functions like keyboard and HID devices is a challenge. The cost is doubled, almost with each new pc and also the space required.
When I am talking about pc's, this term I mean is "personal computing" EX: desktop computer x86 IBM Intel AMD ARM so basically hardware as a functioning whole system with video audio and input/output.

Even with multiple wireless Extenders, if your not monitoring the system Admin control panels settings and allowing operating conditions like ports/resetting power 768/12 in days/doing a Real Stand walk through and also check if the operating system has the wireless as active and dipped/virtualized. *Note allot of connections are compressed active from an Internet Service Provider or on Local Area Network and Applications that are System Controlled, by over Wide Area Network to Register Servers/Host and sysops.
Going into special system computers, a Very Hobby intensive interest for Gaming, Video Editing, Dedicated Music, HTPC - Home Theatre PC and Home Server box's. These pc's usually are enhanced more with add-on hardware cards that are pci, pci-express 1x 16x and external/internet USB parts. This is where an upgrade is fun and interesting but also takes a lot more time and skill to get working properly. Most of the time with good support from the component company the software driver is installed along with the given option utility application and works normally Unless there is an operating system change, like an un-normal bug in a update or electrostatic charge or Power Drop from the street power lines. *Tip : If you plan on leaving your pc on all the time "DO NOT" at least not on full blast with the monitor screens on and if you do decide to leave your pc running make sure the power connection and power supply are MFC, this is modular field correction for different power sources from the grid and dedicate the proper current and charge 24/7 with the manufacturer ratings per each plug-in adapter and power supply for desktops. Micro Mini pc's like tablets Smart Phones and Slates are less costly in power and from what I heard cost around 2 dollars a year to charge and use normally, 12 hours a day. I would recommend getting a USB Extender Battery Pack for external charging your Micro Mini pc. If you are relaxing in bed or on the sofa or outside enjoying the scenes the last thing you would want to do is charging your pc on a cord in your office, especially if your in the point of behaving with your pc. This will put a more heavy burden on weight but maybe it can be the idea of a weight lift or find a USB Extender Battery pack that is small enough to attach to your device with a proper cord.
*Note - Also if you are on wifi with your Phone or tablet pc check your wireless modem/router box setting and change the "beacon" settings to a higher value. Doing this will allow connected pcs to save power on the incoming transmissions and send packets of better diagrams and square out the + - recirculation of your pc's internal battery and wifi functions. If you setup wifi roaming in your house/place you would want to set the beacons on each Access point or extender to around 20ms. This is set so that when you are close to that certain Access Point/Extender your pc will connect faster with almost NO loss in wireless activity.
Now I have quite a bit of experience with home theatre setup and diagnosing proper volume, equalization(Hz-KHz), Radio and stereo Pepherials. So reading the instructions that come with your home theatre stereo is one of the best ways to get setup quick. Placing your speakers will ultimately be a choice of your area and how you feel like to have soundscape and decoration. When deciding to make your television as the main center for your home theatre stereo then you would want to set to a subtle standard into having a bit of audio voice coming from in front of where you are going to be in focus. Headphones are a very good choice for watching T.V as it will Enhance your overall time and listening vocabulary. There are many different ways to get wireless audio from your T.V like using an apple iPod/iPhone Android Phone/Tablet, because you will be able to use ear buds instead of over ear headphones. But overall its better to just have an isolation room for a dedicated T.V speaker room. Setting up multiple audio theatre receivers together is a good idea for a larger listening experience. If you have a few extra speakers that allow you to fit them nicely around then patching digital ToSlink/SpdiF and analog connections from receiver to receiver is So worth it. Using old and new stereo systems is something I recommend too since you can get a good 192khz high resolution audio from analog and there are digital to analog converters. Getting a good Audio Mixer is best though and one of the best decisions you will make when choosing to setup audio from multiple sources like Music Players 3.5mm multiple input and multiple simultaneous digital input/outputs. There are digital and analog splitters that can achieve a multiple pass though of audio to your home theatre and is a good choice for a pure connection especially if your home theatre components are all on the same specification. Just make sure that you get a first good high quality home theatre receiver that has the most connection inputs that you can handle especially with some digital outputs. I also seen some new receivers that do now have multiple Coaxial Digital inputs as this is a Very good way to hook in an Audio mixer or audio from a Desktop/laptop High end computer. Searching for a Good mixer I would recommend looking at M-audio, creative Labs, Computer add on-slots. There might be some Internal Usb to inboard audio digital connection mixers. I have seen them before but for portable mixers, I seen a good one on eBay for under 200 dollars. The costs on this area is quite high but very fulfilling in that this hardware should last you a Very long time.
